Stubby Update #1 – August 03 2008 1102 by Dani

When I asked the nurses about Lisa she held a finger over her lips and pointed to a door.

I gently opened the door and Lisa was spread eagle on a large ottoman. Pops walked in and gently lifted a blanket someone had put over her lower half.

He smiled and motioned me over – she was wearing a knee length skirt that was pulled up to her upper thigh – her privates were on display for all.

Pops noticed her laptop was about ready to fall but when he attempted to pick it up, Lisa held on tight and rolled to her side. She never woke up.

Outside the nurse told us that Stubby was waiting for the surgery team to assemble. They had found a new tumor right below his knee that was small enough they could remove it.

Total time would be under an hour unless they found something else. Stubby was not worried, they had given him a morphine pump – he actually could care less.

Lisa had sent some email using her computer in the waiting room and fallen asleep.

When the nurses noticed a young kid do a double take then he came back with an older kid and then a doctor had done a double take and came back with a big grin.

The nurse had discovered Lisa passed out so she covered her up then closed the room. She was going to wake her up right before Stubby went in. Pops told them to let her sleep and make sure she did not exhibit any more.

He gave the nurses his number and told them to call when he goes into recovery or if a problem comes up.

He said he wanted to check on Lisa one more time – I figured he was going for free feel.

He came out very quickly and we came back home to wait for news.
