We got news tonight that has us floating - about 6:30 this evening, pops was chatting with moms on the computer - they are at a island resort in the Bahamas or someplace where it is warm.

Mom wanted him to go up to cell point and call her. We girls wondered why chat would not work but she needed to gauge his response in person.

Bottom line - my family just hired Lisa to be pops full time live-in nurse. I have a BIG sister!!

Moms have a new job - they resigned their present position (well they will once they have used all their vacation time - sometimes in march) and are going to work for a company to train users all over the world to use that company's equipment. They'll be gone for 2 weeks at a time and home at least a week between trips.

Now moms have always wanted to travel but since pops' surgery, they have been forced to stay near home - pops does not like to travel and to be honest, after a couple of days I'm ready to come home.

They've been planning a trip to Germany for two years but were struggling to figure out a way to make sure pops would be OK.

Pops forgets to take his medicine - he does things he shouldn't - he HATES injecting insulin and HATES a pump even more - when his memory is screwy he can't be left alone. He has given Lisa no problems at all - has not bitched when she wants to check his vitals - no complaining when she checks his blood sugar - he's been an angel and I can tell you, he ain't an angel.

Well mom had told Lisa she would no longer be her boss but had not given her any details. She had asked Lisa a series of questions and decided she might be perfect for our needs.

Lisa decided she really didn't like anyone else at work so she sent out a few dozen resumes and they had discussed the possibility of Lisa finding a job taking care of one or more patients long term. Lisa liked the sound of that and it would let her go back to school for her masters.

They have checked her out throughly for entrance into the group. And since moms were pretty sure she'd fit in, they started thinking about asking her to move in with us. They have been working on this for six months and it all depended upon pops and I accepting Lisa as a person.

Pops also got to see what she was like as a nurse since that was part of the deal.

As luck would have it, everything fell into place for a trial run with pops and me. And we are all the most relaxed any of us can remember in years. Pops and I have not fought at ALL.

SO, mom asked pops his thoughts tonight on the phone - pops did not even answer, he started planning how we would move things around to give her some privacy at the main house.

And how we would get her health insurance - then he told moms thanks for being so smart and HUNG up on them.

Lisa is still lost - is so happy she does not have to go back to her lonely apartment or the stupid people at work - and started calling me sis - she called pops sir once and I don't think she ever will again - pops xplained why.

So moms have extended their vacation for at least two more weeks - they have vacation time thru March and start their new job in April with their first trips scheduled for Japan twice, then England, then Mexico. But a week after they get home they are heading for Germany.

We all told them we'd miss them, but we girls heard pops say something about the hell we willy or something like that.

We are in heaven - it is just an amazing time...and moms kept it from all of us.

moms and us girls have been chatting all night and I just told pops I'm going back to school with Lisa for my masters (which is one thing moms and I have been fighting about).

We've been surfing local colleges and we "think" we have decided to go to a school close by so that we don't have to go back to the corn fields. It is so relaxed here.

Pops said he's not sure his pocket book was deep enough - Lisa said she'd loan me the money.

So, what an absolutely fantastic day - they are few and far between when everyone gets what they want. I even heard pops whistling under his breath - he use to do that ALL the time before they diced and sliced him.

I'm have found heaven on earth - and pretty soon I'm going to go fuck my new sis and her patient - and it's going to be better then heaven.
