I am up late this evening. Very late – it is almost 10.

I am up late because everyone is here for the weekend. Will and Jeni, BBs and DenI, Cindy and Denny, Annie and Summer, Fire and G, classmates and Davis, Henry and Janet (wife), daughter Rose (sophomore), and his oldest daughter (25) Debbie.

Stubby and Lisa were the host and hostess and the teens were the show. Captain was the cook – damn that man can cook.

Why the get together? I have no idea – Pops invited all for a get together. But when quizzed he asked why he needed a reason.

Will asked Debby to stand and give us all a brief history of her life. He and Jeni are evaluating her for house sitting during the winter.

She left home at 18 for college at Stanford and did not come home for four years. On her first trip back she brought her fiancé. Everyone loved him – he had graduated 12th in his class – she 15th – he was on executive path to the top and she was a financial wizard – her father’s words. Her fiancé told her a month ago she was not the proper girl for an executive’s wife. Then she lost her job.

When Will heard where she worked he asked a few questions then asked her to join him privately .

She came back a few minutes later and when Jeni asked she said Will was talking to someone and had asked her to leave.

He came out a few minutes later and motioned for Pops, Stubby and I to join him.

Ten minutes later we called Debby in and offered her a job with my company but working for all of us part time.

Then Pops called Davis to another private meeting and ten minutes later, Debby was offered a job working for Davis part time.

We all assembled in the great room and Davis introduced the newest member of his management team and I introduced her as the newest member of my team.

Liz asked if she could have some of what she had and told Debby she should have run the other way. Then she regaled us all with her version of the war to give Debby an introduction to our nutty life.

Debby thought it was great. She asked a few questions and we girls all wished she could have been here to help us.

Pops told Captain and Stubby he was sorry but their asses had just been cooked. Liz went up and grabbed Pops’ ass and said that it must not take much heat to cook it.

Red, Fire, G, Summer and Debby went to the bar and they all described what they did – Debby asked why I did not join them and I told her all I did was own the company – they ran it.

When Red and G told her about our newest property Debby pulled a laptop out of her bag but could not get service. G yelled at Pops and Pops told DenI to check it and let him at his terminal.

In less then a minute Deni told Debbie her email address – her password and the last five numbers of her bank account.

Debby almost got sick and told DenI what all was on the portable.

Twenty minutes later, DenI had hardened her computer and installed a card from B’s computer. She is now on my computer network which is also Pops‘ which is also Davis’s.

She logged in and did some searching then asked to borrow a phone. Whomever she called did not answer but she left a message with a code word and less then five minutes later G’s phone rang.

She discussed our property with the guy on the other end and at 9:30 this evening we had a lease commitment for the property.

We’ll have the specs by tomorrow evening and into Kim and Jim’s hands by supper tomorrow night.

William asked if Debby would like to baby sit the new cabin for the winter. She said yes.

Davis arranged a lunch meeting with her three co-workers for Monday.

Pops gave Debby a stiff drink and I told her where the coke was – she refused the drink and then blew us all away.

She said in all the excitement she had forgotten one important detail. She had sworn her family to secrecy.

She told us there was a very important reason she had come home besides the fact her entire floor had been laid off and her fiancé had abandoned her.

She was two months pregnant. She did not get the result she expected. Davis called someone and handed the phone to her to give her specific details.

I asked why and he said insurance. I never even thought about it. Pops asked me what kind of maternity leave we offered – I jokingly said none since she had a computer on our network and I would have her a phone by Monday afternoon. Debby said fine with her.

Pops asked for month due and started doing something. Red asked lots of questions but when she asked sex Pops told Debby to keep it a secret. I saw her and her mother trade a look and I wondered.

The classmates cornered her and asked about prenatal care and other questions. Debby could not believe they ran a delivery suite.

The teens went to Red’s for a slumber party (Lisa is the chaperone – she is sure she heard B invite a guy this afternoon).

Stubby went home glad for some peace and quiet and Red went to visit Kim and Jim for another date. Pops asked why she called their session dates and Red asked what else she should call them.

When Pops answered orgy, Debby and her Mom both choked and Henry said good joke.

Debby later asked if it was a joke and I told her no. She started to ask more but decided that some secrets are better off unknown.

Pops started a born on date/time pool and most of the squares were claimed in five minutes. Her dad bought twelve of them.

Then all the guys took bets about the sex. Debby knows but cannot tell any of us. They will listen to her stomach and watch what she eats and craves and guess.

But us girls know a secret – the guys are going to have a minor problem. Sorry can’t tell. Moms I’ll send you a special email but you have to keep it secret.
