We had a lie in this morning – as pops said it was nice to have just the three of us for once. And I guess I should not call it a lie in – it was more of fuck in.

Moms called us right after their lunch – they told pops they got his flowers and some very, very, very good German Chocolates and Strawberries. The Champagne was a perfect finale.

We each talked to them about everything and ended up spending almost two hours on the phone.

At eight on the nose the doorbell rang – we thought it was odd – the perimeter alarm had not sounded. Lisa pulled on sweats and answered the door.

The florist delivered a dozen roses to each of “The Sluts” at this address (he was very embarrassed).

Lisa convinced him it was not a joke and gave him a kiss AND a tip. She said she would have shown him a lot of skin but he was pretty old.

The roses are beautiful – red, white and a black one – we’re not sure what it means and neither of us wants to ruin the mood so we won’t look it up until tomorrow.

For breakfast he cooked eggs, sausage, biscuits and hash browns. He also had strawberries dipped in chocolate and blueberries and a glass of champagne for each of us.

He ate oatmeal with blueberries and plain strawberries and had his normal hot toddy. Behaving himself we asked and he said no. He was trying to extend his endurance. When we asked for what he said we’d find out.

So everything is right in the world.

BBs and Annie just called – Now Jen called – pops has sent them all flowers and a coupon for a perfect shave and massage redeemable at the cabin sometime in the next few weeks. What an asshole – and a nice guy. We’re still trying to figure out how he did it without us catching on.

And we are waiting for our coupons pops.
