Pops pulled a good one tonight. At 3 pm he sent everyone a text message to be at the main dump at 5:30 pm sharp. He said it was an emergency and we all had to help him.

So at 5:30 everyone was waiting for him. He walked in and said we all had to go home to the big house – he needed our help – he would explain when we got there.

But first he handed each driver an envelope and told us to follow the instructions. He told Jeni he needed her to ride with BBs – he and Will were going to ride together.

So the rest of us headed for home – Lisa and I had to stop at the meat market near the cabin and pick up a cooler. It was sealed so we had no idea what was in it.

Annie and Cindy had to stop at a bakery in a small town to get some Amish bake goods. They were already ordered and waiting for them.

BBs and Jeni were to stop at a tavern near home and pick up a package.

None of us knew what the others were getting but we all reached the big house about the same time.

Pops and William came walking in and we noticed that the grill was rolled out and heating up.

We all asked what the hell was going on and Moms stuck their heads out and asked what kind of welcome that was.

We were all surprised – they had made it to some place in MO but weather canceled their next leg. They were able to get another flight but it was to home, not the cabin. They called Pops and he told them he’d get them from the airport and we’d spend a weekend at home.

We all settled around the pool and had a pool party. Lisa and I had picked up the steaks; Annie and Cindy got rolls and special injected baked potatoes from the Amish that Mom likes so much; they also brought the cinnamon rolls and biscuits for breakfast as well as sausage, ham and home grown eggs.

BBs and Jeni brought a pony keg, two gallons of margaritas and a few bottles of whiskey – Moms had ordered it after they got home to take inventory. Moms called about 8 pm and asked someone to bring out more – the owner’s daughter brought out four more gallons.of margaritas. They are great!

Our caretaker provided fresh sweet corn and the greatest tomatoes and last year’s canned green beans that moms made into a casserole.

Pops, Captain, Annie and Cindy broke out the ice cream makers and made four different flavors.

Lisa, Jeni and I made veggie kabobs – onions, green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and carrots that we put on the grill.

William and Deni cooked the steaks; grilled sweet corn and we all pigged out.

We were all stuffed. Right after we finished eating a thunderstorm rolled in but it was short lived and it got even hotter. We all swam for a while then decided it was card time.

Hearts, Spades and Pinochle although I have no idea what that is but Captain, Will and Moms are loving it.

Cindy suggested strip poker but since none of us had clothes on it would have been no fun at all. DenI suggested we play ‘dress’ poker. Whoever lost had to put come clothes on. When he lost the first two hands he quit – it was too hot he said.

So the emergency was that Moms were home, lonely and hungry. We took care of that. They have to leave early Monday morning so it just made since to come home.

And swimming naked in our own pool is so much better then the hotel’s pool.

Pops thanked us all then he and mom disappeared. Captain and momtoo disappeared shortly after. Lisa and BBs passed out in sunbathing chairs. Deni, Annie, Cindy and I were playing hearts but DenI kept forgetting the rules.

We finally gave up and he tried to screw his wife but she pushed him away so Cindy took over the wifely duties.

Annie and I are so blitzed we didn’t even get turned on watching them.

So we are back home for a few days. I doubt we post much – we’ve all missed Moms and besides, the pool will get used heavily tomorrow – it’s going to be 93 and humid. It’s perfect pool weather.
